Created in 2013 by the Joe & Kay Calvanese Foundation, this fund is being established to honor the memory of the children and adults who lost their lives in Sandy Hook, CT due to a school shooting on December 14, 2012. The fund will provide support to adults and children residing in Southington who are in need of mental health and/or substance abuse treatment services. Grants from the fund shall also be used to support initiatives to educate the community on the importance of early mental health screening, access to care and information and other programs to support a healthy community.
