Transferred to the Foundation in 2006, the Award was originally established in 1977 by David Kushlan, the nephew of Charles, to honor and carry on his humanitarian efforts in the Bristol community. This fund provides an annual award to the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol Family Center Youth of the Year recipient. This award is said to be one of the oldest consecutively given awards in the City of Bristol.
