Dr. Kimberly H. James Elected to Board of Directors
(September 9, 2016) - Dr. Kimberly H. James has been elected to the Board of Directors of Main Street Community Foundation.
Kim is currently the Director of Student Access, Success and Engagement at Tunxis Community College where she works collaboratively with stakeholders to implement strategies, services and initiatives to advance educational success, especially for under-served students. She has over 25 years of experience in higher education administration and teaching and over 20 years experience in career and workforce development and planning.
A past member of the Foundation’s Women & Girls’ Fund Advisory Board, Kim continues to serve on the Fund’s Distribution Committee. Kim is also involved with several other community and civic organizations, including Connecticut Women in Higher Education, the Connecticut Career Counselors Association, the NAACP, the New England Carousel Museum and the Urban League of Greater Hartford. She is the past president of the Connecticut College and University Counselors Association.
