MSCF Now Accepting Letters of Inquiry from Organizations Improving Health and Wellbeing in Southington
Main Street Community Foundation is now accepting letters of inquiry (LOI) for funding from the Bradley Henry Barnes and Leila Upson Barnes Memorial Trust. Funding is available to nonprofit organizations for new capital projects, programs, or initiatives that improve the health outcomes of Southington residents, especially in the priority areas of behavioral health, healthcare needs for an aging population, as well as healthy initiatives and lifestyle. LOIs are due no later than February 14, 2025 at 4p.m.
Interested 501(c)(3) organizations must contact Kate Kerchaert, Director of Grants & Programs, at kate@mainstreetfoundation.org or 860-583-6363 to determine eligibility of their proposal at least 7 business days prior to the deadline. The Online Grants Center can be accessed through the Foundation’s website, www.mainstreetfoundation.org/apply-for-grant, and includes the application, full guidelines, and eligibility criteria.
In 2024, Main Street Community Foundation awarded a total of over $910,000 from Bradley Henry Barnes and Leila Upson Barnes Memorial Trust. Originally established in 1973 by the late Bradley Henry Barnes of Southington to support the health and health care needs of Southington residents, the Trust was transferred to Main Street Community Foundation in 2004. Since that time, over $14 million in grants have been awarded to improve the health outcomes of Southington residents.
