Scholarship for College Students Interested in Study Abroad Established by Bristol Resident
Main Street Community Foundation is excited to announce the establishment of the Jeanne Radcliff Fund for Global Studies. This scholarship fund was established in 2024 by longtime Bristol resident Jeanne Radcliff to award scholarships to students interested in study abroad opportunities.
Jeanne is a world traveler who found joy and knowledge in exploring other countries and their cultures. Her first study abroad experience came when she was in high school and she had the opportunity to stay with a family in Chile. Then, when she was in college, she studied for a year in Spain. She found both study trips to be a truly transformative experience that shaped her life in countless ways.
The Community Foundation will award a $3,500 scholarship in 2025 from the Jeanne Radcliff Fund for Global Studies to a current college student from Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington or Wolcott who wants to participate in study outside of the United States during one or both semesters of the upcoming academic year. The deadline to apply for this inaugural scholarship is March 7 at 11:59pm.
