Plymouth Century Club Fund
Established in 2006 by the members of the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and the Plymouth School-to-Career Business Partnership, grants from this fund provide support for creative and innovative instructional practices not funded by the Plymouth Board of Education’s annual budget. Grants are awarded annually to teachers, principals, guidance counselors and other school personnel who seek to enhance student learning in the Plymouth Public Schools.
In 2018, the Plymouth Century Club Fund is seeking 100 donors, also known as Plymouth Century Club Members, at $100 each so the momentum for enriching the educational experience of students attending Plymouth schools can continue long into the future. You can help them reach their goal by making a tax-deductible donation today. A plaque listing all Plymouth Century Club members is proudly displayed at Terryville High School. Upon receipt of a donation each donor’s name will be added to the plaque or the name of someone to be honored. Each $100 donation allows the donor to add an additional name of a person or business.
Examples of innovative programs supported include the participation of local engineers who taught algebra to high school students, a program teaching life skills in the community to special education children, expansion of materials and equipment so that students can learn computer coding and robotics, and the purchase of digital sound and movie equipment to teach twenty-first century skills.
